Star Awards
David Benitez and Josh Hardy
Nominated by Lesli Dinsmore and Natalie Gillson
Natalie and I would like to nominate Josh and David for a star award. While we were in Phoenix for family day, these two really stepped up to the plate and helped us out tremendously. Without having to ask, they were by our side running last minute errands, gluing together centerpieces, shuttling us around town, and setting up the dinner space. It was really a wonderful example of teamwork and collaboration!
Scott Anderson
Nominated by Natalie Gillson
I would like to nominate Scott Anderson. When the executive team needed an oversized printout using the plotter for an offsite meeting and my surface would not recognize the plotter, I had to enlist Scott and OneSource to alleviate my plotter pains. He used his expertise to think outside the box to try to get what we needed printed and even worked on it after hours. With his help, we figured out a workaround and I was able to print and mail what we needed just in time for the meeting.
Natalie Gillson
Nominated by Lesli Dinsmore
I’m nominating Natalie for a star award because she went above and beyond in helping me plan and execute the family day in Phoenix. She came up with fabulous ideas for the decorations and the goody bar and then she just took the reins pulling those pieces of the event together, which was a heavy load off my shoulders. But it didn’t stop there, she really worked with me throughout each phase of the event and all the details in between. Her charisma, positive attitude, and energy just made the entire process enjoyable and (virtually) stress-free. I am super thankful to have had her by my side during this project. A HUGE thank you to Natalie!
Kaela Williams

I would like to recommend Kaela for a Star Award. Below is from my personal visit with Lynn Ely, the CFO of MD Building, and Nancy Singleton, the Sr. Accountant;
MD Building has very detailed GL Coding logic, that is difficult to understand with many nuances to their logic. LynnCo did not have up-to-date directions on coding shipments for MD Building, so we had not been following the correct coding logic for some time. Kaela was assigned to the account, and within a couple of weeks, had the logic understood and has corrected many issues that LynnCo had in the past with getting the shipments coded correctly. Lynn Ely and Nancy both told me that they have been extremely happy with Kaela and that she does an excellent job of maintaining their account and is great at communicating any questions that she might have with them. Nancy also said that Kaela has been using Customer Review to communicate any questions or concerns with them and that they love that process. They both asked me to let Kaela know that she is doing an excellent job.

Kaela has shown initiative in invoice review. When invoices are rejected, rather than move them into the CR bucket immediately Kaela has taken the moment to sanity check the discrepancy. Not all need to go to carrier relations. Is it a reweigh? Has an accessorial occurred? Was a FAK not applied? These simple items being handled at the forefront achieve multiple synergies which benefit our customers both external and internal. Great case in point: Leviton had an invoice dispute as it related to class. Rather than just drop it off, Kaela asked why. We sat down and walked ourselves through the invoice. Leviton was nice enough to provide a copy of the NMFC guide for the correct class. The documentation provided was for corrugated paper. However, the bill of lading showed the commodity as corrugated boxes. NMFC Guide has separate sections for paper and boxes. So, Kaela and I opened the NFMC Guide and went to find the corrugated boxes being described. Kaela soon discovered the carrier had changed the class and was correct in doing so. She was able to copy the correct page and send to Leviton. Kaela may never need or certainly want to see an NMFC guide again, but her initiative and willingness to learn is inspiring.
